ELECTRICAL SAFETY INSPECTOR
Code Compliance Department
The Delaware County Human Resources Department is accepting applications for the Electrical Safety Inspector position within the Code Compliance Department. The Electrical Safety Inspector is responsible for consistently enforcing and administrating codes, standards and county regulations that are pertinent to construction and electrical installation. Individual reports to the Lead Electrical Inspector.
Qualifications for this position are as follows:
- High School diploma or GED and related work experience;
- State certification as an Electrical Safety Inspector;
- Thorough knowledge of electrical codes;
- Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions using judgment and analytical skills; and
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inspecting buildings for code compliance;
- Researching code related questions and providing interpretation of National Electric Code; and
- Handles client complaints and public inquiries regarding programs.
Starting pay range for this position is $19.49 - $21.49 hourly.
